What’s New on the 2022 Kia Forte?

The Kia Forte was reworked for the 2022 model year and this mid-cycle refresh brought a new appearance and a number of advanced features that weren’t available before.

The style

The 2022 Kia Forte has become much bolder and more aggressive than the previous model due to its revised front and rear bumpers and lamp modules that convey an image of sportiness and performance that was not found in the 2021 Forte. This impression of sportiness is reinforced when looking at the GT-Line and GT-Limited models, the two best-equipped versions which are aimed at more active buyers. By keeping the same general shape as the previous model but modernizing its most important elements, this refreshed Forte is still easily recognizable while also being distinct from the previous model.

The features

The 2022 Kia Forte adds a number of features that were not available on the previous model such as a 10.25-inch infotainment display and the Highway Driving Assist. The larger screen allows the driver and passengers to more easily find the settings they want even when the car is moving and the Highway Driving Assist monitors the distance between the Forte and the car in front, as well as the speed limit for the current stretch of road in order to allow drivers to relax while the car adjusts its speed to the circumstances.

The active safety

The 2022 Kia Forte makes standard many driver assistance features that used to be only available as options on the previous model. These features are the Lane Following Assist, the navigation-based smart cruise control, and the Safe Exit Warning. The navigation-based cruise control refers to the connection between the adaptive cruise control and the navigation system which is capable of slowing down the car before a curve while the Safe Exit Warning alerts the driver and the passengers when they are about to open a door if another car or a cyclist is in the way.
